Simpson Design Group Architects

Established in 1988 by principal architect Steve Simpson, AIA, SDG Architects has completed over 400 projects throughout the San Francisco Bay Area. We pride ourselves on our outstanding service, attention to detail, and a creative approach committed to the needs of the client.

SDG is well-versed in the full complement of architectural styles, so whether you are looking for classic, modern, or something in between, we have the knowledge and skill
to respond with innovative solutions.

SDG Architects has become especially skilled at maneuvering through the often unpredictable maze of zoning ordinances and design review boards that exist in many
of the areas we work in. Projects move along at a steady pace, since the meticulously prepared documents are often approved on the first go-around. Steve continues to serve
as a driving force behind every project, and feels one of the most important jobs of the architect is to keep the team—designers, client and builder—moving in the same direction so that the finished home will have a cohesive look.

Size is not a prerequisite for creativity, nor is budget or style. Rather clients who are up for fun, refreshing, quality architecture are likely to attract the SDG team’s attention.
