Well Camouflaged Swedish Tree House Holds Surprise Treasures

15 November, 2013  |  Exterior, House Interior

Deep in a forest in Sweden lies a tree house that is invisible to the naked eye. Due to the exterior being comprised solely of mirrors, only a small foot bridge gives away its precise location. This foot bridge is hoisted into place with thin cables, as it ascends from the ground up into the trees. The tree house itself is a perfect square, and it reflects the images of nearby trees off its surface. Inside, there is a flat, loft styled sleep space, a fur covered chair and a small white table and chair set. Instead of stairs, there are wood and metal ladders mounted. A wide black color runs from top to bottom, with rounded, gray metal strips wrapped around it. Designed by Tham & Videgård Arkitekter.
