Victorian meets the Modern: This Victorian house is mixed with contemporary styling in this beautiful renovation

8 January, 2014  |  Exterior, House Interior

The outside of this house has the look of a typically Victorian home, built in the late 1920s, with its neutral coloured wooden slating, large bay windows and beautifully ornate pillars and balconies, yet on the inside it has a different atmosphere all together. The house is situated in San Francisco, California, USA and was repaired by Butler Armsden Architects. It has been well restored and re-worked to keep the exterior of the house looking as good as it did in the 1920s. The interior of the house has been restored with wooden and glass materials, and has touches of elegance with its plush furnishings and ornate objects. The bathroom is a beautifully designed room, with its glass panelled walls reflecting light and its gorgeous duck egg colouring, the room is light and refreshing and really a focal point in this house.
