Vibrant, Abstract South Korean Home Architecture

The odd shape of the exterior of this red and white South Korean home is also reflected within. Designer Moon Hoon uses built-in wall shelving units and staircase railings to add definition and create an interior that appears to have more space. The shelving unit is located just beyond the front door, wrapping around the stairs that lead down from the entryway. Books, figurines and other decorations are lined up on the light wood shelves, framing around two doors. A wrap around staircase is encased by thin metal bars, some of which holding display boxes. Action figures stand tall, illuminated by tiny recessed lights that have been installed inside of each display. Red and yellow wall paint is used in some areas to add variety to this interesting example of South Korean and interior design.
