Unique Home in Remote Area of New Zealand

One of the most important considerations surrounding home design revolves around creating an exterior that complements your immediate surroundings. But what happens when neighbors cannot be found for miles around? In the case of Studio MVA, having access to a 180 year old farmhouse in the middle of nowhere meant that they could show off their most impressive designs. The updated exterior of the home has been updated to include modern design ideals. A flat roofed white façade, with black accents was created. Trees that likely outdate the original home are closely present. The structure of this New Zealand house takes on the shape of a perfect square, with a hollow interior. Four walls line an interior reflective pool which is lined with rocks.
