Two Modern Houses Juxtaposed on a Cliff

Two Modern Houses Juxtaposed on a Cliff

Only concrete, steel and wood holds these twin homes in place as they rest just beyond the edge of seaside cliff. MacKay-Lyons Sweetapple Architects implemented a design that captured the imagination of onlookers and guaranteed the security of its clients’ property, despite initial appearances. Resembling two huge modular homes attached by a corridor with an attached flight of stairs, the interior is impossibly huge. Four overstuffed orange couches placed face to face, with two wood tables set between seem to float in the massive living area. Windows that extend more than two stories give a wondrous view of the ocean. A lighter, neutral toned interior design motif adds to the mood and sucks you in.
