With its monochromatic exterior and very masculine construction, this house has a modern and dynamic look and feel. The house was built on a central city terrain with 80m2, were i built a house with 277 m2 (useful), an architectural achievement using half-floors! The house has three bedrooms, one dining room, one living room, one office, three exterior accessfull areas (one a complement to a bedroom, other on the dinning/kitchen level and which is made of glass and other is the rooftop where exists a swimming pool) and a two car garage with car lift. The house is simple… it is organized in a vertical and hierarchical way. The social areas are on the inferior floors and the private areas on the superior levels. To achieve great visual amplitudes and dynamic interconnections between spaces, the interior was structured in half-floors. The width of the plot decided the stair. Stark white, large ground floor windows and doors and overlapping roof give this modern house the appearance of floating! Although the house is not particularly large in its width it uses vertical space perfectly. The house is surrounded by a hedgerow and gorgeous trees and vegetation. Why not take a look at this fantastic two-storey modern house that was designed by UID Architects, Japan. The exterior has been created with brown sheet metal panelling and white facades that are a wonderful backdrop for the large inviting windows. On the ground floor of the house we have the master bedroom, guest room, laundry room and bathroom that have all be decorated with a simple wooden floor and white walls, with minimalistic furnishings all of a which follow an earthy colour palette. In the suburbs of Leydshe Rhine, Netherlands, 123DV designed and built this unusual square abode. London architect John Pawson has taken this 90 year old penthouse and transformed it into a minimalists dream. Black accents in the form of window frames and shingles is the only other color to be found on this neutral gray home. Angles jut in and out, creating walls that project outward and recesses within the structure. A flight of concrete steps leads to a concrete base, which holds house itself. During the day, the sun shines in, leaving the house fully illuminated. But at night, things inside are a little different. A single tube shaped fluorescent bulb radiates pink light and heat.
