Stone and Concrete Mansion in South America

Stone and Concrete Mansion in South America

19 December, 2013  |  Exterior, House Interior

For some, luxury lies only in the perceived value of an item. Designed by RRMR Arquitectos, this long, broad and slightly abstract South American mansion rests on the edge of a sandy beach. The exterior of the home is colored to act camouflage in this tropical setting. Dark metal accents appear beside soft, light, neutral colored furniture and décor. This subtle contrast adds to the home’s ambiance, especially in areas such as the living room. A checker pattern area rug sits in front of a modern, black metal wood burning fireplace. The kitchen features most prominent contrasting elements. A long black cabinet and black cabinets work together with chrome hardware and fixtures. Lighter colored wood cabinets have been installed on the lower level of the kitchen.
