This truly incredible house is located in New York and is an elegant example of a 1920’s house design, with its grey slate facades, stone chimney, single hung windows and grey slated roofing. Sat in the surrounds of perfect green laws and gorgeous shrubbery, designer David Scott of David Scott interiors has done a wonderful job of creating the same feeling inside as there is on the outside. The main living room benefits from high ceilings edged with rustic beams, tall panelled windows and a warm and inviting atmosphere. The furnishings have a slightly classic feel with leather textiles and rich wooden furniture, yet a modern twist with angular lines and a white sofa. In the bedroom the stone fireplace is to die for, and is a real focal point for the upper floors. With large plush cushions and a chaise lounge, this is definitely a modern take on classic styling.
