Sprinkled with Patterns: Contemporary house has modernistic and geometric styling, with character patterns in each room

This modern house designed by New Zealand based company Dorrington Architects is reminiscent of contemporary and geometric styling. The house is covered in wooden panels, slats and facades that help give it a layered look and it is built with interconnecting and overlapping rectangular volumes. In the middle of the house, surrounded by the shape of the construction, lies a glistening swimming pool that has the benefit of remaining private to the owners. Inside of the house, every room has its own unique patterning, or texture that helps give each room its own sense of personality and character, like the scratched walls in the living area and patterned rug in the hallway.
