Renovated Home Combined With Barn

Renovated Home Combined With Barn

16 November, 2013  |  Exterior, House Interior

McGarry-Moon Architects added a barn to an existing stone structure to construct a home that has classic and modern design style at the same time. Acting as support, a long metal column has been stationed in the kitchen. The kitchen also features copper colored elements and fixtures. Plate glass windows have been installed in the kitchen, which allows the morning light to fill the room with glowing light. The original house was an abandoned stone barn, complete with its original wood doors. After the top portion was demolished, a steel frame was erected on top. In the front of the home, a small balcony holds the glass railing in place. Under the shade of an old true, this stone and blue colored contemporary house sings out.
