Quaint House with a Dark Secret: Classically styled house has an unusual addition to its grounds

If you are after something very usual, then we have the perfect thing for you. On the outside, this house looks like a quaint, classical American styled house with beautifully ornate detail, yet it hides a dark secret in its grounds. The secret is in fact the dark modernistic annexe that is part of main house. They both have very different styles; yet seem to work in unison to create this unique construction. The annexe, which was designed by New Zealand based company BOX Living, has been created using wood and glass facades and is a small, yet spacious extension to an elegant house. Inside the annexe we have very open living room and kitchen space that looks bigger on the inside that it does on the outside, and a mezzanine floor that overlooks this area. We then have another living area at the top of the house, along with a contemporary bathroom. This is a really unusual construction that has been magnificently executed.
