Not including the Cows : Beautiful farmhouse has been revamped with modern styling to create a character house full of personality

This old farmhouse situated near Brussels in Belgium has been placed in a blender and mixed with modern styling by Studio Farris. The house is located in a agricultural area of the city and has a wonderfully charming and friendly feel. Keeping many of its original features, it stands proud with discoloured bricks and creeping plants, yet has a large window near the front of the house, very common with modern design. Outside you will find a swimming pool and an artificial pond that are wonderfully constructed. The designers have done a terrific job of combing the very rustic style of the farmhouse with new modern styling. This can be seen with the interior where the central fireplace is geometric and edgy, much like contemporary design, with the occasional rustic feature, such as the leather chesterfield sofa and the Deer’s head trophy on the wall. This house is a fantastic combination of the old and new.
