Nicely Nautical: Modern home has some luxurious touches with nautical overtones

Surrounded by wonderfully exotic vegetation and encapsulated a stone’s throw away from scenic surroundings, this fairly unconventional house was designed by Par Arquitectos as a retreat in Cachagua, Zapallar, Chile. Completed in 2011, this unusual house consists of two units, which are interconnected and linked together. It has a fabulous terrace at the top of the house that provides views of the surrounding views which can be enjoyed with a cup of coffee in the morning or a glass of wine in the evening. The interior has a wonderfully textured styled, with a slight nautical and maritime feel made apparent with hessian, sea-grass and blue and white striped walls. The slightly worn style of some of the decor adds a slight rustic look to the whole house, which runs in line with the maritime feel.
