Modernity on the Streets: Vertical Street House stands out amongst the crowd

This very unusual house stands out like a sore thumb in this street lined with everyday houses and was created by Reza Aliabadi. The vertical house is situated in Toronto, Canada and has a total area of about 160 square meters and was created as a piece of original architecture for a couple of passionate travellers. Simple geometric lines and different coloured brick and wood make up the exterior of this property, not to mention the elongated floor to ceiling windows that create a real sense of space and depth. Inside the house, the same geometric lines are used as well as a simple white and slate grey colour palette. The furnishings are geometric or organic of shape and are really very simple in construction. This adds to its wonderfully modernistic approach to architecture.
