Modern House Combines Concrete and Siding

Modern House Combines Concrete and Siding

11 December, 2013  |  Exterior, House Interior

Situated on a small plot of land, this home has been divided into neat halves. On one side, concrete blocks form an industrial styled home. The other side of the house features white siding. The roof has been angled downward, forming steep slopes going in either direction. Keitaro Muto Architects installed the windows on the lower floor at waist level, which has been constructed to form an exterior nook. White metal stairs filled with tiny cut out circles create a vent-like effect. The living room area features a vaulted ceiling and natural hardwood floors. This area leads to the open kitchen, which houses a table that also doubles as a counter top featured a stainless steel sink.
