Modern Home Renovated to be Environmentally Friendly

Modern Home Renovated to be Environmentally Friendly

While this home was originally constructed in 1980, its owners felt that its architecture and interior design was severely outdated. After tapping Dow Jones Architects to renovate, rehab and modernize both the outside and inside, this is the end result. Wide windows create snapshots in time, as they rest with black metal paneling. Concrete terraces hold green grass and create space for family recreational activities. The interior walls have been painted white to create an open feeling inside the house. Large windows and angled skylights also break through boundaries, making occupants feel more at ease. Stainless steel counters in the kitchen contrast with the dark gray flooring and white walls. All of the remaining furnishings are modern and spaced out appropriately.
