Intensive Australia Home Renovation Leads to New Design

Generally, when a home needs intensive repairs to the structure and foundation, new supportive elements will be introduced. When AM Architecture was tapped to renovate an expansive house in Australia, they knew that they had a lot of work ahead of them. The wood beams originally meant to add support eventually became a part of the design of the exterior. Exposed wood paneling at the bottom of the second floor inspired the designer to make wood a part of the theme. Details centered around organic elements found their way inside the house, placed in vases and hung from thin metal rails. Off white walls and light pine flooring was also added to enhance the gentle and organic feeling that resonates through the home.
