Industrial Living: House designed for children is an industrial masterpiece

This unusually constructed house was created on the remainder of the residential buildings of the 1960’s and is situated in Belgium. The purpose of this house was to use the space effectively to create a large living area for the owners, and this is exactly what BLAF Architecten completed in 2009. The house has a very industrial look and feel with its large wooden beams, grey facades and large windows. The house was designed mainly for children and this can be seen by the playground style space for basketball and football, and in the exterior which is reminiscent of a black board with its chalk drawings and playful illustrations. Inside the house is very simple with white walls and wooden flooring and concrete beams overhead. It has lots of storage and injections of colour in different rooms. This is perfect for adults and children alike.
