This long and bright house stands very proud on top of a stone foundation whilst overlooking the greenery and scenic views. This modern villa is a historical building in an affluent area Černá Pole, Brno, Czech Republic. It is one of the first prototypes of modern architecture in Europe and was designed by the German architect Ludwig Mies van der Rohe. Built of reinforced concrete in 1928-1930, this villa soon became an icon of modernism and is at the very heart of contemporary design. The geometric lines and glass panelling make this building look open and inviting, whilst the blue backdrop helps it to stand out. The interior is very special indeed as it as a modern style with a slightly traditional overtone.
