Fast Forward in Design: This house, originally designed in 1990, has fast forwarded into the future with a modern renovation

Unbelievably this amazing house is actually a renovation of an existing building that was originally built in 1990, yet it has been transformed into the beautiful modern construction it is today. This two-storey house sits on land of 25 acres and has a living space of 350 square meters wide which could easily accommodate a family of four. The architects have kept some of its original features, such as the roof of the building, to help keep the history of the building alive. The original floor plan of the building has been transformed into an open plan living space, where all the walls that were not carriers of the building were knocked through and large windows were added to nearly every external wall. The living area has a beautiful spiral staircase that leads up the mezzanine floor at the top of the house and this overlooks the living room and also outlooks onto its surroundings. The interior is so simplistic and stylish that it really helps make this house a home. Designed by 4a Architekten.
