Endless Lines: This house feels spacious and endless with the use of clever lines and furniture

This very unusual house designed in Japan is the work of architectural firm Architect Show. The front of the house is a perfect mixture of wood and concrete with black painted slats that make the focal point of the house. This unusual shaped facade also creates the balcony area at the top of the house that overlooks the city. The inside of this house fails to disappoint. The living room, dining room and kitchen are combined into long room which makes the space seem endless while the careful placement of the furniture follows the natural lines of the room. With very warm and neutral colours and the glow from the spotlights, this room feels inviting and very comfortable. Photos Toshihisa Ishii.
