There’s no boat at the dock, but this lakeside retreat still provides the quiet enjoyment that its owners require. McClellan Architects had to overcome numerous obstacles in order to build a stable and aesthetically pleasing home on the lake. The lakeside retreat is located on a steep incline. In order to compensate for this, McClellan Architects signed a concrete platform and a set of front steps that will help to provide a more level work site. Read more

Set in the French Alps, this quaint chalet is picture perfect. Surrounded by snow and trees, the living quarters a warmly lit and elegantly designed. On the second story, a carved wooden balcony wraps around the property. Exposed wood beams and wooden walls allow for plenty of light. At Les Gentians 1850, white fur covered ottomans have been strategically placed in the living space, more for decoration than practical use. Read more

This newly renovated seaside home comes courtesy of Altius Architecture. Although no before pictures are available, it’s safe to say that many positive changes concerning aesthetics, functionality and style have been realized.
