Dana graduated from the University of California at Davis in 1984 with a Bachelor of Science degree from the Department of Design. After three years of working for other design studios, she began her own practice “Dana Berkus Interiors” in 1987. Since the inception of her business, Dana has completed projects in California, New York, Pennsylvania, Hawaii, Colorado and Tokyo, Japan.
Dana Berkus Interiors values the unique aspects of each new project and is inspired by the opportunity to bring the location, the style of architecture and the tastes and vision of her clients together in harmony.
Dana specializes in new construction and remodeling projects where she can use her expertise to its fullest. Dana is accomplished in construction drawings, lighting and electrical design, specification of lighting fixtures, kitchen appliances, plumbing fixtures and hardware. She also prefers to have input in the design and specification of flooring, cabinetry, tile and counter top materials.
Dana is equally versed in furniture design and layout. She strives to introduce and direct her clients through the myriad of design options, while guiding them toward what will best suit their lifestyle and design aesthetic. The complexity of the edeavor is comprehensive. Twenty six years of working in the business has given Dana the expertise to bring all aspects of the interior design process to a beautiful and lasting outcome.
