Achieving outstanding results in quality of design is attested to by an extensive array of design awards won by the firm. Christopher Simmonds Architect also exhibits strong leadership in sustainable approaches to design. We designed the first LEED gold certified building in Ottawa (Rideau Valley Conservation Centre) and in 2008 we were awarded the Canada Green Building Council's Leadership Award for "fostering sustainable design, construction and management in buildings in the national capital regional of Canada."
