Michael Bell, AIA is a native of New Orleans and a graduate of Tulane University, where he graduated with a Master’s degree in Architecture. After four years in practice as an architect in Dallas, Texas, Michael returned home to the city he loves and understands so well.
He founded Bell Architecture in 1992 as a full-service architectural firm. Now based in New Orleans’ Warehouse District, Mr. Bell has served his profession at the local, state and national levels, including tenure as the President of the New Orleans AIA (the American Institute of Architects) in 2007, and with his ongoing participation with AIA’s National Documents Committee.
Mr. Bell is also an active member of the broader New Orleans community, having served on the boards of Trinity Episcopal School, St. Charles Avenue Presbyterian Church and the Louisiana Children’s Museum. In addition, Bell Architecture has provided pro bono assistance and services to Habitat for Humanity, Felicity Street Redevelopment Project and the Preservation Resource Center.
