Captivating House with Multiple Skylights

Captivating House with Multiple Skylights

24 November, 2013  |  Exterior, House Interior

The roof on this UK based house boasts a series of uniquely shaped skylights. Each skylight is made up of multiple glass panes, arranged in gradually increasing and decreasing obtuse angles. The bottom portion of the home features white panels. The unique construction of this home comes as a result of Matthew Heywood, a well known architect. Not a single window or skylight contains more than one or two right angles. Instead, light is invited in through triangles and trapezoids. These windows can span from floor to ceiling, and they have also been paired with a more traditional interior design scheme. An elegantly designed bedroom in black and white displays the slightest hint of modernism in the form of a blue bedspread and pillows, while an irregularly shaped sits only a few inches away.
