Built for Purpose : Modern renovation project is built for space & light

Believe it or not, this beautiful house is a renovation project that was managed by Dion Seminara Architecture over a period of 12 years. Situated in Brisbane, Australia, the exterior of the house has a modern look and feel yet still retains its original character with its slatted grey painted panelling and high peaked roof. Seminara started this project because a new kitchen space was needed as well as the reduction of energy consumption. This has certainly been achieved due to the abundance of natural light and ventilation that the house provides. Inside, the house is classical yet modern, with many of its original features intact and the cleverly purpose built furniture helps to utilize the space. The decor of the house is modern and simplistic using neutral colours throughout with the occasional injection of colour.
