Austrian Chalet Located High in the Alps

Austrian Chalet Located High in the Alps

6 November, 2013  |  Exterior, House Interior

Found high on the peaks of the Alps, this isolated chalet boards modern architecture spanning a total of seven floors. A set of shelves have been installed in the wall, and the wood chosen is about as rustic as it gets. Sheer gray curtains soften the light that shines in from floor to ceiling windows. The black rug area rug matches the lushness of a light colored fur throw that appears nearby. Its difficult to tell where the black fur spread stops, and the thick, rich black rug ends in the bedroom. The interior lighting is dim in each room, the wood embellishments are aged and worn, holding onto distant memories. Going back and forth between modern styles and antique features, architect East West Real Estate presents a sublime chalet hidden among snowy mountains.
