Australian Home on the Beach Inspired by Wood Textures

Australian Home on the Beach Inspired by Wood Textures

5 December, 2013  |  Exterior, House Interior

On this inside of this Australian home, wood is the most prominently featured and supported material, appearing on every surface and in every possible form. John Wardle Architects takes visitors on an exciting journey through a simple house beside the beach that embodies warmth, tradition and an appreciation for nature’s splendor. The interior and furnishings in the kitchen are entirely comprised of wood. Even the green painted kitchen table bares its wooden frame within the spaces where its finish has worn off. A quaint guest bedroom suitable for occasional visitors kids has a built-in bunk bed with a wide open loft. Unsurprisingly, this living area is also made with wood panels laid out in differing patterns on the walls. Sloped ceilings and brick accents also gives this home added rustic flare.
