Amazing, Award Worthy UK House with Modern Flare

Amazing, Award Worthy UK House with Modern Flare

28 November, 2013  |  Exterior, House Interior

This next home is truly unique. Although it could easily rival the designs seen in the most famous homes built within the last 10 years, this house was actually constructed in the late 1960s. Designed and owned by Johnny Winter, this three floor living space exhibits a combination of classical sensibilities and modern industrialism. One half of the home is classically designed, but the other side was designed to look like an industrial warehouse. Nine frosted glass windows have been arranged in neat rows of three, with each holding its one snapshot styled view of the interior. Vast, open spaces are filled with warm, contemporary and slightly rustic styled furnishings. Brown, cream and beige accents are juxtaposed against cleverly arranged pictures hung on the wall in a grid formation.
