Abstract House in Sydney

Abstract House in Sydney

7 November, 2013  |  Exterior, House Interior

The architecture in the front of this home is slightly reminiscent of the Sydney Opera House. A row of shutters open and close, restricting sunlight entering from the top of the first floor. The backyard is fenced in, with a wooden benching sitting on a small cement patio. Next to the back patio sliding glass door, a light pinewood table is accompanies six round backed, white chairs. A black and white kitchen island is flanked by a stainless steel sink. Glass stair railings are held in place by a wooden frame. Double ovens are built into the wooden staircase, in an effect that is innovative and intriguing at the same time. Anderson Architecture successfully paints an all white Sydney apartment with black tones and neutral colors.
